Teacher Basket Presentations
On February 16th, the Rotary Club of Oxnard bestowed its most recent teacher honor upon Mr. Doug Dubois. Mr. Dubois has been a science teacher with the Oxnard School District for many years. For the past two years, he has been a site coordinator for the Magnet Schools grant. Mr. Dubois has had an impact on every student’s academic experience at Frank Middle School. He has worked tirelessly to incorporate a robotics experience and marine science experiential learning field trips for Frank School students. Joining in the presentation were President Mark Spellman, George Benz, John McDougal, Kathy Leahy, Mr. & Mr. Rob Foster, and a representative from one of our corporate partners.
The next teacher honor will take place on this Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Hueneme High School. Hueneme High School is located at 500 West Bard Road in Oxnard, (on Bard Road between Saviers and Ventura Road). Rotarians attending this special event should park in front of the school and report to the Admin Office by 7:50 a.m. The recognition will be given at the beginning of a staff meeting at 8:00 a.m.
