BREAKING NEWS: ROTARY BERRY LEAVES OXNARD
After an extended stay in the 805, Rotary Berry finally made it out to see some of the world, and accompanied your President-Elect to PETS! They both had a great time.
Some of the highlights were the dynamic speakers, and the presentations from the beneficiaries of Rotary, which were moving and gratifying. With 10 hours of training over 2-1/2 days, District 5240 does all it can to get us well-trained.
Today’s Meeting
At today’s meeting, Seargant-at-Arms John McDougal will lead us in the flag salute, and Tim Laubacher will offer the invocation.
Last Week’s Meeting
At last week’s meeting, our beloved Dick Regnier was on everybody’s mind, and in many conversations. Ed Gibbs provided a moving tribute to Dick, remembering 40+ years. Hugh McManigal’s recognition consisted of giving us Dick’s one-sheet, and was a microcosm of the Dick we all knew and loved. He will be sorely missed by Oxnard Rotary, and us as Rotarians.
We were pleased to share this meeting with so many of our better halves, for our annual “Sweethearts Luncheon.”
Hello from PETS
It was great to meet so many incoming presidents and connect with old Rotary friends. Here are our Group 6 incoming Presidents with Nick.
Adios from Puerto Vallarta
Your bulletin editor bids you farewell from the sunny shores of beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After meeting a fellow Rotarian from Santa Barbara on the plane, who was also at PETS, Berry and Kendall may make-up their meeting here in PV. Or they may just share another margarita on the balcony. See you next week!
